These terms cover the website, The Journal, and HERshop. Care you receive as a patient is also governed by the consent you sign at your visit.

Agreement
By using discovherhealth.com, the preview of this site, or HERshop, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. DiscovHER Health LLC is a women’s specialty practice at 113 Oronoco St, Alexandria, VA 22314. The practice is led by Jenna Perkins, WHNP-BC.
Not a substitute for care
Articles, condition pages, podcasts, downloads, and social posts are education. They are written for a general audience. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a promise that a particular therapy is right for you. Hormone therapy, pelvic procedures, medical weight-loss medication, and intimate-health products all have risks and alternatives. Only a visit, with your history in front of a clinician, can decide what is appropriate.
Do not use this website for an emergency. If you may be having a medical emergency, call 911. For urgent symptoms after hours, contact your nearest emergency department. Messages sent through a website form are not monitored as an emergency line.
Who we can see
In-person visits are at the Alexandria clinic. Virtual visits are offered only in the states where our clinicians are authorized to practice. Those states are listed on the booking page and can change. Booking a virtual visit from a state we do not serve does not create a clinician-patient relationship, and the visit will be rescheduled or refunded if it cannot legally proceed.
A clinician-patient relationship begins when we accept you for care and you complete the new-patient process, not when you read a page or add a product to the bag.
Visits, payment, and cancellations
Visit fees, membership prices, and what is included are described on the membership and treatment pages and confirmed before you are charged. Visits are self-pay. Insurance may still be used for labs, prescriptions, and imaging ordered outside the visit, as described on the Payment & Insurance page. Reimbursify and CareCredit are optional tools; their own terms apply if you use them.
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your visit. A late cancellation or a missed visit may be charged the visit fee, because that time was held for you and cannot be offered to someone else. We waive the fee when there is a genuine emergency. Programs that are paid as a package follow the refund terms stated when you enroll.
HERshop
Products are sold by DiscovHER Health LLC. Prices, tax, and shipping are confirmed at checkout. An order is an offer to buy. We may decline or cancel an order if a product is unavailable, if the price was posted in error, or if we cannot ship it to your address. If we cancel after you have paid, we refund the charge.
Product pages describe what an item is commonly used for. They are not a prescription and not a promise of a result. Some items are personal-care products, not medical devices. Follow the maker’s instructions and ask us during a visit if you are pregnant, have an infection, or are being treated for pelvic pain. Shipping, returns, and items that cannot be returned once opened are in the Shipping & Returns policy.
Accounts, forms, and acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit someone else’s information in a referral or form without a proper basis for doing so
- try to break, scrape, or overload the site, or to bypass the preview password
- copy the site’s design, articles, or photographs for a competing service
- post or transmit anything unlawful, misleading, or that infringes someone else’s rights
We may remove content or block access that violates these terms.
Intellectual property
The DiscovHER name, logo, page design, original articles, photographs, and downloadable guides are owned by DiscovHER Health LLC or used with permission. You may share a link to a Journal article. You may not republish the article, the guides, or the product photography without written permission. Trademarks of the products we sell remain with their owners.
Third-party services
Booking may open our scheduler. Checkout may open our store. Podcasts play from YouTube, Apple, or Spotify. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link to another clinic, a press story, or a product maker is not an endorsement of everything on that site.
Disclaimer of warranties
The website is provided as it is available. We work to keep information current and the shop accurate. We do not warrant that a page is free of errors, that a product will produce a particular health result, or that the site will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow these disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, DiscovHER Health LLC and its clinicians and staff are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or from a shop purchase. Nothing in these terms limits liability for injury caused by clinical negligence, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for any liability that cannot be limited under Virginia law. Shop remedies for a damaged or incorrect item are described in the shipping policy.
Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Alexandria, Virginia, or the federal courts for the Eastern District of Virginia, are the venue for disputes about the website or a shop order, unless a law that cannot be waived requires another forum. You and we will try to resolve a concern informally first: write to info@discovherhealth.com and give us 30 days.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of the page will change when we do. The terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order.
