Your information, handled with care.
This policy covers the DiscovHER Health website and HERshop. It does not replace the Notice of Privacy Practices that governs medical information.

Who we are
DiscovHER Health LLC (“DiscovHER,” “we,” “us”) operates this website, the HERshop, and the women’s specialty clinic at 113 Oronoco St, Alexandria, VA 22314. The site is published for patients, referring clinicians, and shoppers. Contact info@discovherhealth.com or (202) 394-3849.
What this policy covers
Information you give us on public pages — a newsletter signup, a referral form, a shop order, or a message — is described here. Health information created when you become a patient, including visit notes, labs, and messages inside the medical record, is protected health information. That information is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Information we collect
- You give it to us. Name, email, phone, and the message on the referral form or newsletter field. Shop checkout collects the name, shipping address, email, phone, and payment details needed to fulfill an order.
- Your device stores it. The HERshop bag is saved in your browser’s local storage so it is still there when you come back. We do not receive that bag until you go to checkout.
- Essential storage. While this site is in private preview, one cookie remembers that you entered the preview password. Your cookie choice and your HERshop bag are stored in this browser. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
- Checkout on our store. Payment is completed on the DiscovHER store checkout. That checkout sets the cookies required to finish the order and process the card through our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on this website.
- Technical logs. Our host may record IP address, browser type, and the page requested so the site can stay secure and reliable.
How we use it
We use website and shop information to:
- answer a referral or a question you sent
- send the newsletter only if you asked for it
- take, ship, and support a HERshop order
- prevent fraud and keep the site available
- understand which pages are useful, if you allow analytics cookies
- measure advertising, if you allow advertising cookies
We do not sell personal information. Analytics and advertising tools stay off until you allow them on the cookie banner. What each tool is, including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads, AdSense, and the guide forms, is listed in the Cookie Policy.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that run the practice and the shop:
- our website and store host, so the pages and checkout can load
- the payment processor that charges the card you submit at checkout
- the carrier that delivers a HERshop package, which receives the shipping name and address
- email tools, if you join the newsletter
- a professional advisor, or a legal request, when the law requires it
Referring clinicians who use the referral form send us information about a patient they are referring. We use that information to contact the patient about care. We do not add that person to a marketing list because a clinician wrote to us.
How long we keep it
Shop records are kept for as long as tax, accounting, and product-safety rules require. Referral messages are kept long enough to complete the introduction and then according to the clinic’s record schedule. Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a limited security window. Medical records follow the retention rules in the Notice of Privacy Practices and Virginia law, which is a longer period than a website form.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any message, or email info@discovherhealth.com.
- Clear the HERshop bag by emptying it, or clear this site’s storage in your browser.
- Ask us what website or shop information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email info@discovherhealth.com with the address you used.
- Request access to or a copy of your medical record through the clinic, not through this website policy. That request is handled under the Notice of Privacy Practices.
Children
This website and HERshop are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Clinical care for a minor, when we provide it, is handled with the parent or guardian inside the medical practice, not through shop checkout.
Security
Pages are served over HTTPS. Payment details are entered on the store checkout, not saved in the browser bag. No method of transmission or storage is perfect. Please use a current browser and avoid sending sensitive medical details through a public website form. Clinical questions belong in your visit or the patient portal your clinician gives you.
Changes
When this policy changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the website after that date means the new policy applies to new information you submit.
